Papari Valley 3 Qvevri Terraces Kartl-Kakheti Amber 2022 White

Kartl-Kakheti is the wine that we first made in 2016. At that time it was the first bottled blend of Chinuri and Rkatsiteli in Georgia. For the last two years we were releasing this wine as Chinuri-Rkatsiteli. Since the vintage of 2022 we have returned to its original name - Kartl-Kakheti.

 Grape varieties:

-Rkatsiteli (native Georgian grape native to southeastern Georgia in Kakheti) -Chinuri (native Georgian grape native to southwestern Georgia, in Kartli)

Nukri Kurdadze let the Rkatsiteli and Chinuri grapes ferment with the skins for three months in the Qvevris divided into terraces on three levels. The racking takes place from one terrace to another by the natural courtyard, without the use of the electromechanical pump.
This wine is reminiscent of hazelnut pie, quince jelly, almond paste and candied apricot. The wine looks sweet, but it is still completely dry. With a modest percentage of alcohol and a little tannin in the aftertaste.
Alcoholic fermentation is done by natural yeasts.
Without filtration: the presence of a slight cloudiness is possible
Recommended consumption temperature: 15°C-16°C. Storage temperature: 5°C-10°C.
